Feelings in a Bottle

A little bit of magnanimity goes a long way and eventually brings you universal respect.

It isn’t always easy to know exactly what we’re feeling or why.

But we can always tell when we’re feeling intense negative emotions raging inside of us.
Some can easily conceal their feelings, while others often give it away through their facial expressions.

Unfortunately, I belong to the latter.
I’ve always told myself that it isn’t a good thing for people to be able to see through your emotions and how you are feeling. Despite constant reminders, things don’t usually go our way when we want them to.

Well, just a while ago, I was pretty upset with academic matters.
Felt that sometimes when you actually make the effort to suggest an idea or come up with something, and it is not reciprocated. The next thing you want to do is stop giving a shit about it.

But my mom told me, “It’s okay dear. At least you’ve tried.”
Even so, how I wish that people around me could be more sensitive of their actions and at the very least, spare a thought. That way, they can better understand how it feels to get ignored sometimes.

Put it all behind me and I’ll be just fine.
Just like how the song Back Home by Yellowcard goes.
Happiness will find me, once again.

Hope the rest of you have a great one today! :)
Enjoy the last day of 2012 tomorrow!
And embrace 2013 with open arms <3

With love,
Melissa
